about me
I am a speech-language pathologist who holds a bachelor of science and master’s degrees from Northwestern University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I have gathered over 30 years of experience in private practice, pediatric hospitals, NICU/special care nurseries, and pediatric speech-language treatment centers. With expertise in speech, language, learning, and literacy, I am passionate about working with preschoolers through high school students, especially those who struggle with memory, executive functions, and oral/written expression. I am Neuro-Developmental Treatment certified and have been a clinical supervisor for numerous universities.
As a member of Boston Children’s Hospital’s autism, developmental consultation, language-auditory processing program, and feeding teams, I have evaluated hundreds of children presenting with speech and language disorders. I continued to serve on multi-disciplinary pediatric evaluation and treatment teams locally at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as well as with regional neuropsychologists.
I have always maintained a private practice, treating children and adolescents with apraxia, oral motor, feeding difficulties, social learning challenges, and language-learning disabilities. I was featured on Dr. Brazelton’s "What Every Baby Knows" and has lectured locally and nationally in the areas of oral language and literacy. I have conducted clinical research and published papers in the areas of speech and communication skills in twins.
After 20 great years as a partner at Capable Kids of the North Shore, LLC, I have decided to continue as an individual therapist. I look forward to this new chapter of my Speech Language career with children and adolescents while still collaborating with the many talented OT, PT, psychology and social work teams in schools and out of schools.
